1.18. Jacketing Materials
Jacketing materials shall be one of the following recommended metallic alloys, the application of which depends on the conditions:
• Aluminum
• Aluminized steel
• Galvanized steel
• Coated steel
• Stainless steel
Note that the melting point of aluminum is considerably lower than other recommended jacketing materials.
The combination of jacketing and fastening materials for an insulation system shall be according to Table 1.39.
