Abrasion Resistance | The ability of a material to withstand abrasion without appreciative erosion. |
Absorption | The process of drawing fluid or gas into a porous material, such as a sponge soaking up water. |
Abuse Coverings and Finishes | Jackets, mastics, or films used to protect insulation from mechanical and personnel abuse. |
Acoustics | The study of sound, and its transfer, reflection, and absorption. |
Acoustic Insulation | Refers to the measures taken to reduce the transmission of noise from its source to the places that must be protected or insulated. |
