images 100. Where Do I Go from Here?

Now that you've asked all your questions, what do you do? It's time to start implementing what you've learned!

You know what social media is and how you can include it in your marketing efforts. Now take the strategy you wrote in Chapter 14 and start putting it into action.

So many people just dive into social media without really knowing what they're doing or understanding what they want to come out of their efforts, and this rarely results in positive ROI. More often, these people get quickly burned out or jaded by a lack of return. If you're planning to take part in social media for business or brand-building purposes, then you should approach social media as you would any other part of your business.

It's important to remember that social media is not meant to replace marketing; instead, it is another avenue to conduct marketing efforts. That's why the social media strategy needs to be included with the overall marketing plan and why you shouldn't create a social media strategy without first consulting with the overall objectives of your company.
