Data, Choice, and FOMO
As I prepare to begin writing this book, I’m finding it difficult to think for myself. There’s just so much information. I’m staring at a few stacks of books, seven piles of printed articles (each between two and three feet in height), three piles of magazines (sorted into business, technology, and general news publications), and two stacks of newspapers that I promise myself almost daily that I’ll skim. Every week, the piles seem to grow, despite my best efforts to make them shrink. The reality is that I’m drowning, quite literally, in information.
