It occurred to me as I was writing this book that the process was a lot like starting a company. At the onset, the idea is totally in your head, evolving and growing as you ponder it more and more. At some point, you invite other people to the party, sharing your idea with them to get their reactions and opinions. Some of those comments you may take to heart, others you won’t, because it is—after all—your idea. So you redefine and clarify the content, while documenting the questions yet to be answered. Then you make your plan for how you will turn this idea into a reality.
