Personal Accountability Model and Action Plan
Personal accountability is being responsible for the success or consequences that are the result of the beliefs, words, and actions within your control. As you read in the story, Brian only achieved the results and recognition he wanted when he held himself accountable for his results and his reputation. He filled his tip jar from the bottom up, by first understanding who he was, and then communicating his aspirational brand of WOW in every communication and action. He provided unique value in every interaction and ultimately rose through his organization to the top spot in a short time because he was outperforming everyone else.

I know because I have been helping people identify, communicate, and deliver their unique value to build stronger personal brands for many years through my coaching, training, and inspirational keynote presentations for teams and companies of all sizes.
The personal accountability model shown in Figure A.1 is simple. It shows you the areas in need of consistency that make up your overall reputational value. If you take the time to master them, you will live a more authentic, accountable, and aspirational life.
