Abstract
Although the business models for Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are still unproven and largely unclear, MOOCs have attracted a huge amount of interest as a potentially disruptive way to change higher education as a marketplace. Traditional universities may be challenged by the growth in online learning of which MOOCs are a part. However, other sectors are also becoming interested in the possibility that the higher education market will be opened up as online learning becomes more widespread.
