The Generic Walk

A standard dictionary interpretation of the word walk might go something like this: “The manner in which a two-legged creature moves by placing one foot in front of the other to gain momentum, usually forward momentum.”

A more clearly defined explanation for animators is that a walk is an action, usually with a moving biped character (but not necessarily so), where one foot is always in contact with the ground at any moment in time.
