Toughening mechanisms for the fiber of middle-large-aspect-ratio-reinforced composites

Abstract

This chapter deals with the numerical analysis of physical fields of middle-large-aspect-ratio-reinforced fiber composites. The chapter presents the mathematical basis of the quasi-meshless method of continuous source functions developed by the first author, results, and a discussion of the toughening mechanism and conductivity of composite materials reinforced by straight fibers of finite length.
