Abstract
The definition of 4D bioprinting is still debated in the scientific literature. The goal of this chapter is to report the present status of this debate. Also, examples are given to clarify the distinction between four groups of related technologies: 3D printing, 3D bioprinting, 4D printing, and 4D bioprinting.
