Bull market tops
Stock markets are pretty unforgiving and it pays to know the warning signs for when they will turn well in advance of when they actually do. That is the problem for most investors as jumping off the up escalator is one of the hardest things to do.
When a bull market tops out, the one thing to remember is that stocks retrace their gains in a far more linear fashion on the way down than they rise on the way up. This makes it even more important to know when to take your money off the table and bank profits, otherwise you could end up donating those hard-won gains made over the course of a bull run back to the market in double quick time.
