Chapter 3. Server Remote Management
Server management deals with the performance of key operational tasks on servers in your environment. These tasks include occasional or one-time tasks like adding a new role or feature to a server, periodic tasks such as reviewing event logs, and urgent tasks like troubleshooting alert messages. In small and midsized environments, many of these tasks can be performed manually using the graphical user interface (GUI) server-management tools included in Microsoft Windows Server platforms. In large environments such as datacenters and cloud-computing infrastructures, most operational tasks are automated using scripts.
