Action: In performance objectives, the description of “how” the learner will perform the task.

ADDIE: A generic form of instructional design models, which stands for Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate.

Application: The third level of the ROI Institute's five levels of measurement and evaluation, which “measures progress after the program—the use of information, knowledge, skills, and contacts,” as defined by the ROI Institute.

Audience analysis: Describes the intended audience for a learning event in terms of general characteristics (demographics) and entry behaviors (what the audience already knows about the subject being taught).
