Robert W. Fichter (b. 1939)––who studied with Jerry Uelsmann and Henry Holmes Smith, was a curator at GEH (1966–1968), taught at UCLA (1968), with Heinecken, and then at Florida State University at Tallahassee (1971–2006)—has worked with collage, cyanotype, gum bichromate, hand coloring, and Verifax.
