Stephen Berkman (b. 1963), who has a BFA in film-making from Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles (1988), utilizes wet-collodion and optical processes to theatrically produce strange and inexplicable scenes that simulate the nineteenth century by generating pictorial dislocations between how we visualize the past and the present.
