Installation
When a transformer is received at the worksite for installation, it should be inspected. If any apparent damage is evident, this should be reported immediately by filing a claim form to the responsible party, carrier, or manufacturer.
General Considerations
The transformer should be examined for any damage to the case in the form of excessive dents. Protruding parts such as insulators or indicating meters should be given individual attention to detect cracks in porcelain or broken glass.
