Chapter 4. Cisco Digital Network Architecture

In May 2016 Cisco introduced its Cisco Digital Network Architecture (Cisco DNA). Just like the architecture frameworks described in Chapter 3, “Enterprise Architecture,” it is an architecture framework that describes how network infrastructures (not only campus) should be designed and implemented. As with the other frameworks, Cisco DNA in itself is not a product but a collection of design principles, abstract building blocks, and guidelines that, if implemented correctly, will assist (almost) any enterprise or organization in implementing an efficient network infrastructure.
