Abstract

The education sector is drastically changing its tools and techniques used in teaching and learning methods. These days, education is shifting from textbooks and blackboards to smart boards and smartphones. Although technology cannot completely replace human contact, it can contribute to its improvement. Advancement of technology in education has improved the process of learning. Technology’s constant advancement is moving education towards cutting-edge, fruitful avenues that seem to be much more enticing to pupils, enabling the employment of new tools in the teaching-learning process. In the age of evolution, virtual reality is at the top of the heap. Virtual reality (VR) has been used in education for a while, but one of the difficulties faced by educational institutions is that VR is expensive. However, VR has grown since then, and technology is more modern, less expensive, and more accessible. The advantages of virtual reality in contemporary education are examined in this study using qualitative and review methods. The numerous uses of virtual reality in contemporary education are also covered. The study’s findings demonstrate how virtual reality has helped students meet their particular educational demands while boosting their self-esteem.
