New Economies Oriented towards Life
Shifting towards a mindset that encompasses dignity, equity, and flourishing for all means thinking on a whole system—indeed, planetary—scale. It is not just one sector, for example, business as discussed in the last chapter, that needs to change. All major socioeconomic and socioecological systems need reorientation towards flourishing and away from growth-atall costs and financial wealth as the ultimate goals—and towards socioeconomic system considerably more life—and relationship-oriented.
