In this chapter, and through to the end of this book, a case study of a fictitious company, Julienne & Simone (J&S) Food, will be used to illustrate the digital transformation of an online grocery business. As the designated IT executive—chief information officer (CIO), chief technical officer (CTO), or enterprise architect—you'll be involved in the company's digital transformation.
During this journey, you'll be instructed on how to develop a transformation roadmap to help you lead the design and implementation of a universal AWS cloud architecture, including a digital product development platform. You will also be guided on how to drive the deployment of digital operating and organizational models throughout the business.
All along this journey, you'll deal with and apply the key principles, concepts, and tools of digital transformation using AWS to equip J&S Food with the world-class digital product development platform that it expects.
