Chris has been in the civilian IT/OT cybersecurity/infrastructure industry for more than 30 years. He has held several certifications over the years, most recently CISSP, and has completed his Military Emergency Management Specialist training and accrued more than 90 hours of IT/OT cybersecurity training with DHS and the federal government.

Over his professional career, Chris has worked with 4 of the top 10 companies in the United States with various facilities on almost every continent and in 45 countries. He has IT/OT cybersecurity management experience in many areas and has managed teams ranging from 3 to 24 staff members with opex budgets as large as $2 million per year. He currently works for 1337 Defense out of Austin and also has his own cybersecurity firm called Houston Auditing and Compliance, based out of Houston, that performs cybersecurity compliance audits and provides reports.

Chris has a degree in engineering but believes that nothing beats keeping abreast of both new technology and emerging threats.
