Shawn Kirkland began his career in the U.S. Navy as an operations specialist bringing the military's global networks together. He then went to college at Auburn University of Montgomery to study computer programing and while in college began his career outside of the military contracting for the Air Force. Over the next eight years, Shawn became fluent in securing most systems and applications available in the industry today. Shawn leverages this knowledge to educate companies today on how to properly start and maintain an information security program.
How do you define a blue team?
Every person within a company is part of the blue team. From the executive assistants to the CISO, all parties hold a certain amount of responsibility to defend their company's network.
