Chris has been in the civilian IT infrastructure and IT/OT cybersecurity industry for more than 30 years. He has held several certifications over the years, most recently a CISSP, and has completed 65 hours of OT cybersecurity training with DHS ICS-CERT through NCCIC. Over his professional career, Chris has worked with 4 of the top 10 companies in the United States with various facilities on almost every continent and in 45 countries as an IT/OT/cyber managing staff member.

He has IT/OT cybersecurity management experience with teams, budgets, projects, policies, back office and data center, cloud operations, custom web and financial applications, databases, local and wide area networks, telecom, and business continuity. He has managed teams ranging from 3 to 24 staff members with opex budgets as large as $2 million per year.

He currently works for 1337 Defense out of Austin and also has his own cybersecurity firm, Houston Auditing and Compliance, based in Houston, which performs cybersecurity compliance audits, provides written reports, and manages implementation teams and projects.
