While Chapter 2 got you started with understanding how DNS fits into a network infrastructure, there is much more to understand about this essential and complex service in order to successfully diagnose and resolve its problems. In Chapter 2, you learned primarily about the client-side architecture of the DNS hierarchy. In addition to understanding the client considerations in a DNS hierarchy, you also need to be familiar with the architecture of DNS servers in an enterprise environment.
