The Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) is described in RFC 2637 and allows the tunneling of Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) frames across an IP backbone from a PPTP Access Concentrator (PAC) to a PPTP Network Server (PNS).
