Chapter 9 Motives

The trust determinant of motives reflects an honest intention on the part of one or the other party in the relationship not to bring harm to, and indeed to protect and help, the other party in the relationship (Gabarro, 1978). The Moose case study company was experiencing major problems in this regard - ie negative motives were being perceived and ascribed on both sides.
