SHARE THE FACTS

Before we jump into this last piece of our Truth Talk, let’s quickly review what we’ve accomplished so far. We began by familiarizing ourselves with the four Truth-Killers. We know that we can’t just walk into someone’s office and blurt whatever’s on our mind. If we do, there’s a good chance the person will experience Psychological Resistance, Perceptual Resistance, Financial Resistance, and/or Confident Unawareness and our words will go unheard. Knowing the potential obstacles we face, we then used the FIRE Model to separate our Facts from our Interpretations, Reactions, and desired Ends. By extricating the truth (Facts) from the IRE, we made our message more accurate and more palatable.
