4.1 ‘Traditional’ methods

Although we like to feel that our work is personal and hopefully original, we are all, nevertheless, conditioned and constrained by the medium in which we are working.

The very nature of television/video production results in certain design trends. To some extent, these methods are influenced by fashion or custom, but they are mainly determined by the fact that directors over the years have found that some approaches work and others do not.
