When you’re standing at the starting line of a race — be it a 100m sprint or a 13K half-marathon — the adrenaline is flowing. You see that distance stretching out ahead of you, and all you have to do is reach the finish line. You may be looking to win this race. You may be looking to score a personal best. Wherever you are or whatever you have in your headspace, the finish line calls to you, and in that final stretch, you may have to dig deep to reach it.
Streaming, however, has a funny kind of finish line. When you see it coming, there’s a little voice that whispers, Just one more game … because you really don’t want the stream to end. You’re having a good time gaming on your own or gaming with friends. When you have a lively Chat, it’s even tougher to stop, but all good things must come to an end. Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Q taught me that.
