Network management is done by
nova-network, which interacts directly with
nova-compute to make sure that running instances are properly configured to communicate, both within the local network and with the wider Internet. Each instance can have two associated IP addresses: one for public communication outside of the local cloud network, and one for private communication within the trusted local network.
Three network management options exist: a flat network, a flat Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP) network, and a virtual local area network (VLAN). VLAN is the default. You may choose others by modifying the option in
--network_manager = nova.network.manager.FlatManager--network_manager ...
