Abstract:
The characteristics of a piezoelectric transducer can be found by measuring the electrical impedance/admittance. The impedance of a transducer changes steeply around the mechanical resonance frequencies. The constants in an electrical equivalent model are estimated from electrical measurements. An electrical evaluation of a piezoelectric transducer is described. Constants in an equivalent circuit vary as the vibration amplitude and there is non-linearity due to high stress and high temperatures.
