APPENDIX C

Standard Elements

Throughout the text, reference is made to a number of predefined stereotypes. Table C-1 provides a complete list of the stereotypes included as part of the UML specification, where they are defined, what they apply to (class, package, and so forth), and a brief description. While these stereotypes are commonly accepted, remember that stereotypes are an extension mechanism. So you can expect many more to be developed, and you are free to develop your own.
