Chapter 13UNDER THE RADAR
I was hosting a meeting for my team of 12 sales reps. It was a low‐key affair with only two agenda items: look over the results from the previous quarter and say goodbye to the team. I called the meeting for a Saturday because Wales was playing England in a rugby international at the Arms Park stadium that afternoon. After an enjoyable, eight‐year career in sales, the plan was for the team to attend this short review meeting, and then as a thank you from me, we'd attend the big game, followed by the appropriate celebrations that always follow a Welsh win over the Englanders.
