Before bed, I thought about what I might do differently in my next dream. Remembering Larry's remark about acting like a teenager, I set an intention to focus more on what really mattered to me.

That night, I found myself in the stands at an equestrian event, watching the competition. There was a large crowd cheering on the riders. One of the horsewomen rode past me, then doubled back and pulled up in front of me. She was wearing cream-colored jodhpurs with light brown leather patches on the inside of her thighs, ending at her high leather boots. Woven into her shirt were gold threads that shimmered as the light hit them, reflecting the highlights in her hair.

Something about her energy was different this time, and I wondered if my new intention for the dream was the cause of that. She dismounted and made her way up to sit next to me in the bleachers. We were now the only ones at the arena; even her horse was gone. I reached for her hand and she gave it to me freely.

“I want to apologize for something,” I said.

“It's Lucena, and there's nothing to apologize for,” was her quick reply.

“Lucena? As in lucid?” I asked

“You could say that,” she said with a giggle.

“How do you know what I was apologizing for?”

“We are one, Scott. I thought you'd have figured that out.”

“You're me?” I asked.

“In a sense. Probably best to think of me as a reminder—your reminder. I am here to remind you that the answers you seek are already within you, waiting to be revealed. All you need to do to ...
