This third edition is expanded and largely reworked from the second edition. Perhaps only 20% of the second edition remains untouched here.

This edition improves the functioning of the previous editions with simplified language and more detailed coverage of some subjects and layout of materials. It adds new and important features, and seeks to be more useful and pertinent to the intended audience: you.

These are the greatest differences. First, the book has been expanded to four parts, with a new Part Two on background fundamental listening skills.
