This chapter will present a process that can be used to evaluate sound quality and timbre. This process can bring anyone in the audio industry to communicate meaningful information about sound.
By directly describing the physical dimensions of sound, the process can be easily adapted to evaluate any sound. The reader will learn to describe sound quality (accounting for the various contexts within which sounds exist), and to evaluate timbre (sound out of context as an abstract sound object).
