Planning change

       1    Introduction

In the first session we looked at some of the barriers you will meet in implementing change. Recognizing that these will exist and that they have to be overcome is essential if the change is to happen successfully. So too is planning. Change has to be planned very carefully if it is to be successful. As a first line manager you have an important part to play in this process, ensuring that objectives are set, actions to achieve these objectives are identified and assigned to the most appropriate members of staff, and that results are monitored against the objectives.
