When you look at other people’s faces it’s possible to discover a range of information about them. Not just general information like their gender and age but also more specific information; their mood and what they’re feeling.
It would appear that in widely disparate cultures, people express and interpret six basic emotions – fear, sadness, happiness, disgust, surprise and anger – in much the same way. All people in all parts of the world use these same expressions; they frown when they’re angry for example, and smile when they’re happy.
