Rational Application Developer V7.5 is an integrated development environment (IDE) that can be used for developing Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (Java EE) applications. WebSphere Application Server is a Web application server that can run and manage Java EE applications. It runs with IBM HTTP Server, which is based on the Apache HTTP Server developed by the Apache Software Foundation. WebSphere Application Server enables a computer that uses the HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) to serve objects by responding to requests from the other programs, such as Web browsers.
