The United Operators Association (UOA) was a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization funded through membership dues and contracts from the parent organization, the American United Operators Association (AUOA). AUOA received appropriated funding from the US government, and these monies were further administered by two national agencies of the federal government—the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). In turn, the AUOA entered into contracts with the state chapter of UOA.
