A serious dilemma had come up at the Center for Community Action (CCA). The 25 year old nonprofit organization provided vital human services programming for the local community, including group therapy, mental health counseling, youth mentoring, and much more. Yet, their financial model had not kept up with the evolving organization and was overly reliant on uncertain grant funding. The CCA board of directors saw the writing on the wall.
