Media Processing

IP networks form the foundation for exchanging voice and video packets. There has to be a set of rules and procedures to provide an overarching framework for transmission of real-time media information between participants in a communication session. Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) was developed for precisely this reason, and it has seen overwhelming acceptance across the industry.
