I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Enabling the Extended Value Chain
Now that the enterprise-focused value chain has been enabled, what is required to extend the value chain coordination to include our supply chain partners? If you thought effective management of the enterprise enablers was a challenge, just wait. There are some conditions in the extended value chain that make integration, communication, and collaboration with other players in our supply chain even more difficult. For starters, they do not work for us, so while good internal leadership will go a long way to directing the organization and strong management techniques can take our company the rest of the way, we have very little control over the value chain operations of our partners.
