Abstract:
Chapters 5–10 will deal with the rate dependent to shock induced dynamic behaviour and modelling of concrete in tension. It can be caused in practical applications by structural dynamic response, stress wave superposition or a mixture of both. In every case the type of loading mechanism has very strong implication on the occuring and achievable peak strain rates. The current chapter will therefore introduce dynamic tensile loading states on the basis of practical applications.
