Chapter 3 considers the design of user-friendly spaces within the context of construction standards and the importance of elements of interior spaces. A broad overview of relevant rules and regulations developed by government agencies and professional organizations provides information that informs project participants about construction standards and building codes that must be adhered to in order to ensure that the project is legally compliant.
