For the apt- commands,
options can be specified on the command line or set in the
configuration file. Boolean options set in the configuration file
can be overridden on the command line in a number of different ways,
such as --no-
opt and - opt =no, where opt is the
single-character or full name of the option.
Many of these commands accept the following the common options:
-cfile,
--config-file=fileSpecify a configuration file to be read after the default configuration file.
-h, --helpPrint usage information and exit.
-o, --optionSet a configuration option. Syntax is
-o group :: tool
=
option.
-v, --versionPrint version information and exit.
