Hardware Upgrades
One of the joys of system administration is the chance to work with new and bleeding-edge technology year after year. But if you want your system to take advantage of emerging technologies, you must upgrade your systems as necessary to meet the demands of those technologies. Some system upgrades are made for performance or compatibility reasons, and some phase out old, soon-to-be-unsupported hardware. An upgrade does not have to involve an entire machine, either; CPUs, memory, disk drives, and expansion cards can all be upgraded individually.
