Chapter 4 Sample Frameworks for Web Application Development
This chapter sheds some light on the question of “how to.” We have seen in Chapter 2 what Ajax programming looks like when there is no support through programming libraries or the like. In this chapter, programming frameworks will be presented that are intended to help Web developers to efficiently bring new sites and new functionalities to life. Before we do so, we briefly discuss design and development principles that underlie the development of Web applications in Section 4.1. While these are mostly standard and generally applicable, developing software for the Web comes with some specialties we cover here.
