8Releasing Investments

Competition for R&D capacity based on Weighted Shortest Job First (WSJF) creates incentives to plan and build smaller Investments. Planning does not begin with a release assumption in the Investment model. Income generation for bundled Investments is delayed until the release date. The first objective is to plan Investments that can be released independently. However, there are instances where Investments will need to be bundled within releases.
