2.1 Conops—General
The best way to demonstrate how UTM operates is to understand its concept of operations (ConOps). The ConOps covers the scope, characteristics, operational components, and performance of the system from a user perspective and presents the requirements of each participant and how they are expected to interact.105 As it matures, the UTM ConOps should reflect increased harmonization of principles, support for architectures, additional applications and services, interoperability, and over-all robustness.106
